Theresa's Story
Hi!
After high school, I met my husband as friends in 1992, started dating in 1994, got engaged in 1997, and finally married in 2001. Three months later, we moved to Tennessee to be closer to my parents and to also enjoy a warmer climate with new territory to explore. I have met many new people and cannot say enough about how different the culture is here compared to what I grew up only knowing in Minnesota. I have now become acclimated to this area and it feels more like home everyday.
Currently, I work full-time in the medical administrative field and attend online school part-time through the State of Tennessee. I decided better late than never that I wanted to go back to school to further my education in getting a college degree. It was a goal that I had wanted to accomplish for...Expand for more
a long time, but did not know what I wanted to do up until these last few years. I started out pursuant in getting an IT degree, but later changed it to Organizational Leadership. Back in 1995, I was successfully working towards a cosmetology certificate, but dropped out of the program three months later. I realized that what I enjoyed as a hobby was no longer fun as a profession.
It is amazing to me how time flies by! Where did all those years go?! I had many memorable moments with lots of great people. I hope to be able to attend our next high school reunion; along with heading back to the great north to spend time with old friends one more time.
