Theresa's Story
Life
At this point in my life I feel as if I am exactly where I need to be. While I have experienced loss in my life, my gains are equal. My mother passed in 1997, and I was fortunate enough to witness her passing. Just as I came to make peace with her passing I was blessed with witnessing the birth of my beautiful daugher in 1999.
There are a number things that I would like to do before leaving this planet, but I am confident before it is my time to bid farewell to my life on this planet...Expand for more
- my to do list will be complete.
School
Upon graduation from Henry Ford High School, I attended Wayne State University (WSU). Given that I was undecided upon a major, I left WSU for about 3 years and later returned to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree in African American Literature. From WSU, I attended Cornell University and earned a Master's Degree in African American Literature.
Currently, I am a profeesor of African American Literature at Hunter College and am working on a novel.
