Theresa's Story
Life
After graduation from PHS I attended Cal State Northridge (yeah, where the quake was!) and graduated in 1986 with a B.A. in Film Production. I tried working in L.A., but at that time hated the whole L.A. mindset (if you didn't drive the right car, wear the right clothes, live in the right city you weren't good enough) so I moved back to S.L. I temped for awhile and got a job as a secretary for a law firm. I have worked in the legal field for 12 years. I graduated in 2000 with my paralegal certificate and decided in early 2001 that I was sick of law and ready to try my hand again in the film industry. So in April 2001 I moved back to L.A. to resume my film editing career (15 years later!). I worked in Beverly Hills for Tapestry Films as an Apprentice Film Editor on the Olsen Twins movie "Holiday In The Sun". I have decided not to pursue my film career any further since editing has changed and it is no longer done the way that I enjoyed. I worked as an estate planning legal secretary position in Westwood for 4 years while living in Palmdale. In June ...Expand for more
2006 I put everything I owned in storage and moved cross country to Massachusetts. I just bought a house in Brockton, MA (20 miles SW of Boston) and am working at Bingham McCutchen as a Document Production Specialist.
I was very active at my church (Neighborhood Church in Castro Valley - the one with the 3 crosses at 238/580) and enjoyed singing in the choir and acting in various church productions. I was attending Park Street Church in Boston next to the Boston Commons, but am now at the First Baptist Church in Weymouth.
I am unmarried and have no kids - God has chosen not to bless me in these areas, but has blessed me with a great roommate named Pam who is from Lincoln, NE. We had been roomies for 10 years until she returned to Nebraska in 2001 to be with her father who was dying of cancer. After 5 years in Nebraska with a job going nowhere, Pam joined me in Massachusetts. Still hoping to find best friend husbands so we can be Betty & Wilma to our husbands' Fred and Barney! ;o)
I am really enjoying life now and I hope the rest of you are as well.
