Therese's Story
When I graduated Adams I was only 16 and had a problem finding work. I finally worked at the Port authority and then married at 19 had my son at 22. On the 22nd of Feb. he will be 50 don't know where those wonderful years went. In 1962 I had a beautiful daughter who is 47 and she gave me two grandchildren, (girl and boy) 21 and 18 respectively. I keep quite busy as I belong to the Franklin square Senior Center and there is always something going on there.
Wanted to go to college but that was for boys in our family so a commercial course it was. Still would have loved to be a teacher or a nurse. My dream came true as I received the education I wanted when I went to work at New York Institute of Technology. I retired from New York Institute of Technology in 2001 as as a financial analyst
