Life I live in Lake Oswego, OR on 1/2 acre of Douglas Fir forest. I'm married to Grace Amos and have a step-(soon to be adopted)daughter from Korea named Yerim. She's getting to be a good clarinetist as well as pianist, and has a nearly4.0 average in high school. She is NOT a total, raging lunatic like I was from 60's to 80's. I blame it on the times, but don't we all. If we can remember them. What was I talking about? I mean writing... I do a lot of gardening here, but it can't compare to So.Cal.; except, of course, for berries, apples and cherries. I started composing music in 1967 and earned a Ph.D. in Music Theory from UCSD in 1986. I teach elementary school in Spanish for a living, and taught ESL for 5 yrs in S.Korea where I met my ex-wife and daughter and learned to speak Korean. Resigned teaching in 2005. Semi-retired now, subbing,mainly HS, teach piano, compose a lot of music. About 15 yrs ago I started collecting coins and stamps again after a 1/4 century pause. I have a nearly complete portrait set of the Roman emperors in silver, as well as nearly complete U.S. type set from 1793 on of the 1/2 cents to the silver dollars.
