Thomas's Story
Life
In high school I had a dream of pedalling to our summer place in Vermont. It happened 6 years later. Then I pedalled down to Mexico a few years later. A few years later I went to England,bought a bike and pedalled to North Africa and back up as far as Scotland. History of religions,a 12th grade elective lead to alot of yoga and 3 trips to India in the mid 80's. I spent the winters taking long (30 days) meditation retreats and then going up north to do Yoga in Rishikesh. I had a motorcycle in high school and a dream of travelling cross country. I bought Pete Kittles' brothers' BMW and made 2 large loops of the country in different years. In between the trips I painted houses. I had started doing that during summer break in college. e the early 90's. Painting is still what I do most. I didn't get married until I was 43. We just celebrated 12 years. We have 2 Samoyed dogs(White northern sled dogs). We enjoy gardening and have installed 2,000 ft of perennial beds in the yard. I have hauled countless loads of compost to get them started. I have just finished hauling the spring load to top dress the beds. We go to Yoga several times a week and make an annual trip to the Bahamas for a Yoga camp. We take about 4 one week vacations a year. We've visited alot of national parks. We take our camping gear on the plane and rent a car. It's much different than when I travelled alone in so many ways. We have a motorcycle and we go for little rides mostly. We did take 1 ride up to the thumb. We also have an RV so we can go camping with the dogs. Life is good.
