Thomas's Story
Life
Hello. Long time no see, eh? I attended Brookridge Elementary School (Brooklyn, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland) 1956-59, Driftwood Elementary School (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in its temporary home adjoining Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport) 1959-60, Lynmar Elementary School (Davie, Florida) 1960-61, Driftwood Junior HS (Hollywood, Florida) 1961-64, McArthur HS (Hollywood, Florida) 1964-1967, Broward Junior College (Davie, Florida -- later became Broward Community College) 1967-1968, University of Miami (Coral Gables, Florida) 1968-1971, and did graduate work at the U. of Michigan (extension course at Interlochen National Music Camp, Interlochen, Michigan), U. of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and Luther Rice Seminary (Jacksonville, Florida and Lithonia, Georgia -- bulk of the work done externally while living in Japan between 1987 and 1998.
I am married to Angela Renee ("Renee") and we have two grown daughters, Rebecca Michelle Sietman who is on the faculty at Cedarville University with a doctorate in communications earned at Ohio State University and has been married to Dan since 2002, and Cassandra Ruth who is engaged to be married to Brad Brotbeck on July 1, 2006 in Dayton, Ohio (you are cordially invited).

ter/missionary/servant to the Japanese, both in their country and here in America. Basically I teach them about Jesus and the Bible and then organize a church in the name of Jesus Christ for our mutual spiritual benefit and to help fulfill Jesus' program/plan for this world.
You may remember that I have been active in music from elementary school days through college days. I am still active, having taught this for 8 years between 1971 and 1979; I also played professionally off-and-on between 1967 and 1982 (bass trombone). In 1971, I took up the violin, and though there were a number of years between then and now that I did not practice it due to circumstances, my interest revived in a bigger way in 2002 and I now have the goal of playing it in a symphony orchestra some day.
You may have known my parents, Tom and Gladys Border. They still live West Hollywood where the original Border family moved when I was turning 10 years old. They are in the same house as a matter of fact.
How about you? I would love to hear how and what you are about. Drop me a line sometime, would you? Thank you!
Sincerely,
friend Tom Border
