Thomas's Story
Went to work after graduating. Joined the navy shortly thereafter. That got me out of the house thank God and kept me out of the marines. Been as far west as Thailand and as far east as Turkey. About 24 countries in all including North Korea . I was an aviation fire control radar bombing tech. Also worked in electronic warfare. t of the navy in Dec. '72. Finally joined the local VFW in 1991 in Shelby Township.
Became Post commander in 1995 One thing I did as Post Commander was start a college scholarship for high school students in Utica School System , You would know it as the Private John LaRock Scholarship.. I had moved to Florida in 1998. These are the best days of my life. I don't get much north of Weeki Watchi. But will try to make it to 50th class reunion. Been married 5 years now to a Kentucky woman, named Charlene.
