Thomas's Story
After HS I attended Virginia Tech where I earned a Bachelor of Architecture, graduating in 1973. I met my wife Sue when I was in college and we were married in 1972. We have a daughter Courtney who lives with her husband in Hoboken, and a son Stephen, who lives in Houston with his wife and three sons, all under 4 years old.
In 1972, in lieu of doing a thesis, I spent the year off campus working in VISTA at the Neighborhood Design Center in Baltimore. After a year at NDC I started my first job in an architectural office and in 1975 we moved to Baltimore from College Park, Maryland, where Sue had been a graduate student at the University of Maryland. In 1986 earned a Master of Administrative Science degree from Johns Hopkins University.

incipal at Marshall Craft Associates. I still work there occasionally on an on-call basis. After retiring I was recruited to join the Roland Park Roads and Maintenance Corporation, a neighborhood organization that reviews residential design and alteration applications in the neighborhood. I am now the President of R&M and and also a Board member of the Roland Park Civic League.
I started doing Civil War reenacting in 1989 and am still active as the Captain of the 1st Maryland Volunteer Infantry (US) and am the senior Board member of the National Regiment, an umbrella organization to which the 1st Maryland belongs.
I've been playing softball in an architectural league continuously since 1974 and took up squash ten years ago. I now play squash 3-4 times a week and also play golf weekly in two leagues that play on alternate Mondays.
