Well, early on, I was in electronics engineering. My dad died when I was 20, dropped out of college in 2nd year, no money to cont. I've done all sorts of odd jobs, but my biggest was as a Water plant operator for about 15 years in N.KY. Retired out. Gotta divorce from 1st wife. Single for a decade in 90's. Got remarried to a native Filipino at end of 2001. (Been there 4 times, and may go a 5th next year to see my dentist there.) Now mysteriously divorced.
Was a computer field tech at the time of Y2K, then that dissolved. Threw the Enquirer in the late 90's, and again with new wife in 2002. Then, I sent us both to massage school to become CMT's in CA, from my grandfather's inheritance. Got into a divorce 7.5 years later, and now I'm back in Ohio only about 5 weeks in Aug when I wrote this, and gearing up to run my business in Ohio. Mom and sister still OK, and things are looking up as divorce finalizes on Nov. 8th. It's considered a friendly divorce. I call it a recession divorce. The entire ex's family still loves me. Go figure that one out. Oh well.
* Inserted note: Divorce not final in 1st week of 2010. Judge investigating ex's petition where she wants maiden name back, ruining her green card.

10 at the south Hyatt in Dayton! Mars Society is run by Dr. Zubrin, who wrote ¿A Case For Mars,¿ and is famous for the Mars Direct HAB units seen in all subsequent Mars Mission movies. There are also DVD programs and Discovery shows that are about Mars Society events.
You can look at our displays we've had the summer of 2009, like the 40th Anniversary of the Moon Landing (I was in Wapokeneta, Ohio) , or streaming interviews of the pilot of SpaceShipOne (the X-Prize Winner) on its way to the Smithsonian after a stop in Dayton Wright Patterson. UPDATE on my International Mars Society Convention, from the 1st week of August 2010. This is the organization seen on Discovery Channel that advocates manned missions to Mars, plus underwrites Mars research (Mars HAB units in Canada and Utah).
At our International Convention in Dayton, Ohio, I had a Power Point Presentation called "Water Purification on Mars." Because I discovered I know a lot more about Mars than I used to...I am currently writing a Mars book, with blessings, about my personal theories, including my scientific expertise on water treatment - and transferring it to a Martian environment, and how to use modern technology to pay for missions in the commercial sector, to ultimately change the destiny of how manned exploration is accomplished. It should be a breakthrough book.
Many in the private sector are already trying to use some of these techniques to launch current space adventures to extreme success. Currently, as this profit become visible - we have already blossomed to over ten sub-orbital adventures in the works instead of the two that most folks know about. A recent one was just announced that will launch from the Caribbean.
I may be one of the 1st on the planet that figured out how to pay for Mars trips using the Internet, that far surpasses anything NASA has ever done. Before these examples, it was always said NOBODY could replace NASA when it comes to privatizing space. Based on my ability to write well, it should be really interesting to the general public. If my theories are correct, the world's first trillionaires are going to be those who go to Mars. We will get there a lot cheaper than folks hung up on gov't techniques ever dreamed possible.
Some follow up Mars books by me and sci-fi writing are also in the works. Be sure and keep a lookout for them, within the next 18 to 24 months and throughout the next decade or two.
