Thomas's Story
I left Lewiston after my Junior year, my dad had quit his job and couldn't find another so I, being the oldest, had to move on - 1 less mouth to feed.
I joined the USAF and went into Security Police. I went through the training and eventually got stationed in Central California. I lived there for several years -'79, '80, '81. I had a girlfriend there, and she is one of my life's few regrets - I just wish I had been more mature to handle that relationship.
After the military I moved to Corvallis, Oregon where I met and fell in love with the woman I eventually married and had two children with. We ended up in Nampa, Idaho and after 7 years - we were divorced.
That didn't stop me though, I soon met and fell in love with a woman who, though not married to, am still friends with to this day. Umm..not great friends, but still friends.
I have worked in law enforcement, several years as a Deputy Sheriff, several years as a city Police Officer, as well worked on an ambulance as an EMT. I attended Boi...Expand for more
se State University and have most of my education in Political Science.
I then moved to Cairo, Egypt giving into my wanderlust to roam and have seen and experienced many and different things.
In Egypt, I utilized my FAA Airpframe and Powerplant License to work on Jet aircraft. But, I am missing the USA, and especially Idaho - a lot more than I thought I would. I love to flyfish and birdhunt. There are few things that beat a good bird dog flushing partridge on a cool morning. My time in Egypt is almost done, I'll be heading home soon I'm sure.
July 1, 2010. Well, I'm back in Idaho now and getting my last few classes, needed for a degree , done at Boise Statue Univ. Should get a job but I am enjoying the time off too much, ahh decadence. Picking up pieces of my former life has been challenging, and reconnecting with my true friends has been uplifting. Onward and upward.
I know I covered a lot of ground with minimum detail - but this isn't my biography - just a quick scan. Take care.
