Thomas's Story
Life
I live near Seattle, Washington. I am married with three kids, though my son Chris died in a car accident July 16, 2005. Someday, when I grow up, I want to be an attorney. I used to miss Springfield and the Philly area a lot, but the Pacific Northwest has the East Coast beat any day of the week. I'll take the rain, you can keep your humidity.
School
I wish I had asked Nancie Wright out. There hasn't been a day go by since 1981 that I haven't thought about her.
College
I am currently attending Green River Community College in Auburn, Washington. I am nearly finished with my AA degree. I hope to transfer to a state university that offers an online business degree program.
Workplace
I am employed by the Union Pacific Railroad Company as a Locomotive Engineer. Been here since 1989. I a...Expand for more
m also a union officer with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, a Division of the Rail Conference of the International Brotherhoood of Teamsters.
Prior to hiring on with the railroad, I was in the Air Force, and after separating from there I worked in the air freight business.
Military
I was in the U.S. Air Force for four years, stationed at Nellis AFB, near Las Vegas, NV. I was assigned to the 57th Aircraft Generation Squadron, as a Crew Chief for the F-15 Fighter Weapons School. I also briefly worked on A-10s, but I much preferred the F-15.
Sometimes I miss doing the work, and have thought about joining the Oregon Air National Guard, but I have grown a bit large for the uniform. Plus, George Bush is an IDIOT and I don't think I could serve with him as my Commander in Chief.
