Thomas's Story
I left Hampton in August of 71 and move back to Texas. Went to college one semester and decided it was not for me. Worked in contruction till 74 in Austin, Texas. Then went to work for a security company. Worked there for a year and moved back to Copperas Cove after a short marriage. Went to work for Gatesvill PD as dispatcher and worked my way to full time police officer until 79. Went back to construction Until 80 and went to work at Lott, Tx as a police officer. o work for McLennan Community College as a police officer and now my official title there is Detective. After 4 failed marriages I have 6 children and 11 grand children. Love em all. One and only son is a Texas Highway Patrolman, one daughter a teacher, one daughter a surgical technician, one daughter does computer work at home, one daughter works for a high society rental company, and the last daughter is working on her college education and wants to work in art advertising. Me, I get to retire again in five years and plan on traveling in my motor home. I am retired now in August 2020. Thanks to COVID traveling much at a standstill for now.
