General note that may or may not pertain to you: When you visit, I think...Man, I did alot of drugs and drank alot of beers, so who the fork are all of these people I wish that I remembered better? Help all of us old stoners out and do your story and add some pictures. Even after more than 6 1/2 totally sober years, I have problems rememboring or forgeting as much as I want. Oh and by the way, thanks for the visit! Life I left school early, half way thru my junior year, with a high school equivalence diploma to join the Army Airborne Infantry. I did 6 1/2 years, made Sergeant when I was 20, broke my back in a training accident and got out in '84. I did portrait photography for a couple of years around Northern California, Nevada and Oregon. I went to Arizona for school and got a degree in Gunsmithing. I married a woman from school, had two boys, got divorced and came back to California after 15 years. I was in the VA hospital in 2004 and I am now in San Francisco working on my health and recovery. It is December 2007 and I am medically retired. I volunteer at the SPCA socializing and training their shelter dogs. It is January 2009 and time for some updates. I have not been to the SPCA in quite a while. My back has been a real pain and I found out those pain block injections with that huge needle are the best problem solver they have tried. I wish we had tried this decades ago. I have got 2 Nikon SLR with their battery packs, a 18-200mm lens, a 35mm and a 80-400mm lens, a really nice tripod, carbon fiber monopod and their best flash, so that I could get back into my favorite thing to do. I am back on the road with an American made V8 4x4, instead of a sports car. I have been going to at least a couple of events a month where I can take pictures. Early May'09 I started volunteering again at the SPCA helping to train and socialize the shelter dogs to make them more adoptable. Sept'09 and I find that I am almost done with my VA claim, where I get my retiremen...Expand for more
