Thomas Ignatius's Story

Note: updated from the 2013 Brooklyn Preparatory Alumni Dinner Thomas I. Hayes is a retired international public health specialist and lives in St. Petersburg, Florida. He is a graduate of Brooklyn Prep, Class of 1960, and Fordham University, College of Pharmacy. He completed an internship and residency in clinical pharmacy and was licensed as a Doctor of Pharmacy in Tennessee. He attended graduate school in Public Health at UCLA and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (UK), a member of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and of The American Public Health Association. He has managed major hospitals including the American Hospital of Paris and the Cromwell Hospital in London where he raised his children. ed several health management and consulting companies in Europe and America. He has retired as CEO of International Healthcare Consultants, Inc. His international activities encompass more than 30 years. He has been an advisor to the Ministers of Health of Egypt, Tanzania and Swaziland; managed medical volunteers during the Ethiopian famine in the 80’s; administered WHO medical services for refugees during the 1999 Kosovo crisis; led a UN program for repatriation of Iraqi refugees in 2003; and established an African Development Rural Health Initiative in Tanzania in 2006. He has also worked in Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Francophone West Africa, Gulf States, France, He was the Public Health Specialist for a European Commission program assessing malaria vaccines to lessen infant mortality in sub-Saharan Africa.

A few days ago I failed to recognize the yearly Norwegian holiday and so, the flag is flying this weekend.
Hope Marge and her cousin Jeff Hansen celebrate accordingly.

This is how we travel from St Petersburg to the county south of us (Manatee) and Sarasota.
Honestly, it is not a fun crossing.

So, today, one day after celebrating the visit of "Three Kings" we have carefully wrapped each piece and placed it into the same box they all came in, twenty five years ago for storage with other seasonal items.
