Thomas's Story
Well, I've retired a few times. I thought the last time in 2008 was it for me, but I'm now enjoying serving as a school crossing guard. I worked for the State of Texas for about 32 years, in several different departments. I worked for the City of Austin for almost 10 years, and I simultaneously served in the Texas Army National Guard for 24 years. I have lived mainly in Texas, other than a few months in Athens, Greece. I moved to Lake Jackson, TX in June of this year and am enjoying the Texas coast again. ently enjoyed the birth of my first great grandchild, Nora. I stay active, enjoying fishing, dove hunting, racquetball (usually 3 times per week), and water aerobics. My health has been good...thank the Lord for that. As BHS grads, especially
'65ers, never seemed very close, I know little about others from that era. I do have contact with Jerry Friar, Johnny Kirklin and Donnie Wallin via email, although I haven't seen Jerry in person in years. It would be nice to hear from to see how they are doing, etc. Life has been good to me, and I am enjoying being "an old man." Wish all well! Love, Tom.
