Thomas's Story
School:
School Crushes - 5 th grade... Carol Nichols & 7 th grade., Margie K. and Andrea Rosenwine. I liked Kathy Rathbone in high school but was in love with Sandy Scott.
Mr. Ruff at Gage inspired me most. He was one of the greatest teachers I have ever known.
Mr. (Coach) Springer at HP. He took a personal interest in each of his students and made them feel special.
Dr. Bill Doud, a personal friend, and professor at Cal State Long Beach. He has always been there like a dad for me. I owe so much to him and his wife Flo, that it can not be expressed in words.
College
I roomed with Tommy Deats a member of the PRCA, Professional Rodeo Cowboys of America. It was a battle between beatles (Me) and Tammy Wynette (him). We had 8 pets in a no pet dorm room. We were caught when the dorm mom heard our puppy crying durring the day. She opened the door and -- we were busted. Dogs,turtles,flying squirrels, birds, etc.

round chewing tobacco before and everyone on my dorm floor were rodeo cowboys. I was saved from drinking a glass of ___ from one of the boy's chew, that I thought was my coke - same color!!!
I learned to appreciate, Jim Jones, Tammy, Merlin and the others. I think a little Yellow Submarine and California Girls rubbed off on him.
Workplaces:
At 13 I sweep floors in a machine shop after school. Delivered newspapers before school. Gordon Ishibasih (my best friend) and I worked the summer at KFC. It took years before I could eat chicken again! Winemans Department store, assembling toys and marking merchandise. Bob Wineman let me drive his Porsche on occasions. He must have had great insurance! Sears-Credit Dept, Art Cole Automotive, Reeders TV, Bell Police Department, State of California - Department of Justice, Ham Radio Outlet, U.S. Customs Service and Dept of Homeland Security ICE. Retired now after 45 years of law enforcement.
