Thomas's Story
After grad in 75 I joined the Coast Guard and left Michigan.
In 82 I was transferred to Hawaii and managed to bounce around between Hawaii, Guam and Japan for the next 21 years. In Guam I met my future wife and we transferred back to Hawaii in 2000.

ransferred to Michigan and finished my career stationed on a ship out of Detroit and retired in 2006 with 31 years in the Coast Guard.
Before retiring we had our first child who is now four years old and in 2007 our second child was born.
So now I'm the stay home Dad. I run most days and have completed 6 marathons and two ultra marathons since retiring.
