ister Michael Mirium tought me in both seventh and eighth grades and was the one who inspired me the most. In addition to being a Great Teacher, she also made me a Safety Crossing Guard which gave me much confidence at an early age. One of the Happiest school memories was every Sunday when I attended Mass with all the other school students (no adults). I studied hard to be an Altar Boy and always spoke in Latin, but did not know what the words meant. Every year we would take a school trip to Willow Grove Amusment Park which was always fun. (Little did I realize that years later my family would move to Willow Grove). I attended Cardinal Dougherty for only four months before relocating, at which time, I attended Bishop McDevitt High School. Being enrolled in the Academic Program was not easy for me, but that hard work paid off later in life. Of course, I always looked forward to lunch, for that was the only time I could talk to the girls. I was active in Student Council, Debate Club, Track Team and played a funny role in the Junior Comedy "Just In Time". As I reflect on my early school years, it was not an easy time in my life, but it built my character to be hard working, honest, sincere, and fun loving in dealing with life's challenges. My thoughts turn to joy and happiness, when I think of my Childhood Memories!
