Thomas's Story
I attended Loyalsock High School for my senior year. I have great memories of that experience. I was the new kid at school, but people made me feel very welcome. I graduated from Bloomsburg University in 1967. I was an English teacher at Hempfield High School close to Lancaster for twenty years.
I was influenced by my excellent Senior English teacher David Laubach at Loyalsock. During my years at Hempfield, I taught World Literature. This course later evolved in to a Humanities course that was team taught with a History teacher. To this date this course exists at Hempfield.
I have wonderful memories of my years of teaching at Hempfield. I often reflect on the great teachers and students that I experienced during that time. I left Hempfield in 1987 to pursue a career in the financial services...Expand for more
industry.
I moved to Las Vegas in 1991 to pursue a career opportunity. This has been my home since that date. I retired from the Private Bank at Wells Fargo in 2011. I was an independent financial advisor for several years. Some people should not retire. I am one of them. I recently became the President of a trust company. I just need the intellectual stimulation and the challenge.
I moved to Las Vegas with my wife Diane. We have now been married 23 years. We love the energy and climate of Las Vegas and the proximity to the great cities in the western US. I am still an avid tennis player. I play some golf a couple times a month. Diane and I support and enjoy the performing arts.
I have experienced many challenges since I left high school. I feel very blessed to have such a fulfilling life.
