Thomas's Story
Life
I live in the part of Golden Valley that is part of the Hopkins School District. My daughter, Susannah (1984 birth date), went to Breck School in Golden Valley and is graduating in May 2007 from St. Olaf. She played hockey against Tracy Alcott Hurley's daughter Kitty Hurley during High School and college. So the classmate I have seen the most over the last 10 years is Tracy Alcott. I also have run into Hans Petruska, the "other" Tom Brokl and Gene Ryan.
I missed the November 18, 2006 Reunion because I had a premonition my daughter's St. Olaf hockey team would get its first ever win over St. Thomas. My premonition ...Expand for more
was correct, as Susannah Brokl scored the game-winning goal shorthanded with one second left in the game to give St Olaf a 5-4 win no one who was there will ever forget. Update March 29, 2021: I moved to Pensacola, Florida in May 2019 & vowed to never return to Minnesota for any reason. I still maintain TWO Hopkins Facebook Pages.: Memorial Page For Hopkins School District Alumni (4,900 members) and Hopkins Class of 1966 (119 members)..
