Thomas's Story
Life
After all these years, I have come to the realization that those school days back in San Jose were the stuff that dreams are made of. I often wonder about how all my old freinds are doing today.
After graduating from Pioneer High School in 1975, I joined the Navy, left home a few weeks later and basically never went back. I remained in the Navy and travelled all over the world retiring after a 21 career. Since retiring, I have worked in the nation's chemical demilitarization program where we just recently completed destroying the last of our nation's chemical weapons stockpile. I continue employment as a Senior Engineer with Bechtel Nuclear, Security and Environmental (NS&E) completing plant design modifications and systemization at the Bluegrass Chemical Agent Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) located at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Kentu...Expand for more
cky. We are currently finishing up operations here and will be dismantling the site an returning it to a green field.
My wonderful wife Jackie, whom I met at church one Sunday while stationed on Guam, and I recently celebrated our 46th anniversary. We have four married children and 14 grandchildren with another slated to arrive in September. We have been truly blessed. We reside in the bluegrass area of central KY in Richmond, a small town about 26 miles south of Lexington, KY. I continue to enjoy serving my Lord, and my church family, as a shepherd at the Richmond Church of Christ, our local congregation. Other interests include picking bluegrass music (Dobro) with my grandkids, hunting, fishing, backpacking and camping all over KY and TN and, most of all, being a grandfather.
Send me an e-mail, I would love to hear from any of my old friends.
