Life
Not having taken a single science course since high school physics is either a blessing or a curse since I am now working in clinical research for a major pharmaceutical company. They say that in the new economy everyone will switch careers at least three times, but if you count the list of college majors, I've switched many more times than that. After high school, while pursuing my studies in film, I was overtaken by an interest in theology, so, leaving California behind, I traveled by bus, plane, and train to Greece to finally earn my degree in theology after 5 years in Greece.

I am a devoted father to my son and four daughters (two of whom are presently living with me) and one granddaughter. My interests (besides theology) include films (favorite director, John Ford, favorite film from last year, Being John Malkovich), literature (Faulkner, Dostoyevsky, hard science fiction), music (Vivaldi, Wagner, Cream, Benny Goodman), and philosophy (particularly aesthetics, cognitive science, epistemology, philosophy of science, and [mentioned only because it is no longer trendy] existentialism). Unfinished projects: learn math well enough to read The General Theory of Relativity and understand it, learn enough foreign languages to read Finnegan's Wake and get the jokes, read Byzantine Greek without a dictionary, translate Papadiamantis (a modern Greek writer) into English. When will there be time for those?
