After a lifetime of doing what I thought I was supposed to be doing, and hating almost every minute of it, I quit a high paying engineering job in medical devices, dropped out of my old life completely, and ended up . . . teaching college classes, running 3 side-businesses, and recording music for a living. It's been a weird trip and I loved the last 18 years of work life. I was a columnist for a regional magazine (Minnesota Motorcycle Monthly), wrote for technical and music magazines, and an occasional articles for local papers.
At 19, I married the first girl who was nice to me and we've been married since; more than 55 years as of 2023. We have two daughters, three grandkids, and are comfortably settled in a picturesque Minnesota town on the Mississippi River.
