I believe this metal (brass or copper) card was actually used to print business cards. The plate is reversed, so I inverted it for the picture.

Discussion around a vent from the '69 fissure eruption
Pyroclastic deposits down wind from Puʻu Puaʻi, which is the Kilauea Iki vent. They do tend to pile up.
Ash falls and flows from the circa approx 1790's eruptions. These deposits really tell an interesting story.
Most of the team, staying cool for now.

Team measuring tree mold depths - this let us know the lava depth during the maximum part of the eruption.
Beautiful photo/art store in Hilo, some of the work featured is used in volcanology text books/papers.
