Thomas's Story
After high school I attended a semester at the local community college at my mom's insistence. As soon as that obligation was meant I joined the U.S.A.F and was a law enforcement specialist in the Security Police for 4 years. I served in Az, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Tx, and Honduras performing law enforcement dutes and Air Base Ground Defense (infantry) functions.
Upon being Honorably Discharged, I moved to Tn to be closer to my Mom, Dad, and little brother. My Dad had just retired from the U.S. Army by that time and started his second career. They moved to Tn because my Mom was originally from here. I got a job working in juvenile corrections with the Dept. of Children's Services-horrible job and I wouldn't...Expand for more

Not liking lil' juvie thugs, I hired on with the Knox County Sheriff's Office. I worked there in the jail for many years and attended the law enforcement academy so I could move out to patrol. Realizing that I never really liked traffic accident reports, domestic violence calls, and the public in general, I decided to stay in corrections.
After working for a larger department, I have since moved on to a smaller agency and couldn't be happier. I am currently a Sgt. and married to a wonderful woman who happens to adore her two cats! lol We don' have any children of our own, so we have chosen to adopt rescue cats-don't laugh because at least my little curtain climbers don't talk back!!
