Tillitha's Story
I moved to Washington D.C. the summer after gradution. City life was a real "eye-opener" after Stroudsburg. Everything in DC was just too much for this country girl....so back home I came. Back home with my feet on solid ground I began working for the Department of the Army.
I married my husband Sam, on Valentines Day in 1970. We moved to Bridgeport, Ct. and began settling in only to learn that we were expecting our first child, and that Sam was being transferred to Long Island, New York. I had worked for the Department of Health, Education and Welfare in Atlanta for ten years when the opportunity to work for Delta Airlines presented its' self. I would be remiss, if I didn't mention that we live in a very small world. While at Delta I met the college roommate of Heather Hendry and the daughter of Stroudsburg High School's football coach Bruce Baustein.
Regrettably Sam passed away in 1996. I considered moving back to Stroudsburg but choose to remain with my children and grand daughter in Atlanta. I retired from Delta in 2005.
