Life After Harding I enrolled at St. Marys for Respiratory Therary, hoping that if I got drafted into the armed forces I would be medic and not a Grunt. My last clinical was with an Anesthitist and I knew I wanted to do anesthesia. I enrolled a year later in nursing and two years later became an RN. First job was Ramsey Burn Unit,and I liked it so much that I forgot about anesthsia. At Ramsey I married and soon had a baby boy. My then wife's familly wanted us to run a restuarant in Wisc. There we could'nt do anything right and they kicked us out after 8 months. It was hard work but I enjoyed it, and felt very bad when we left. Later they begged for us to come back but by that time we lived in Rochester Mn. My wife was in nursing school and I worked Respiratory Intensive Care. Two years later she was an RN and was burned out with ICU. Enrolled in The Minneapolis School af Anesthesia. During school my wife left and I had 2 kids to take care of.
