Tim's Story
Life
After Harding I enrolled at St. Marys for Respiratory Therary, hoping that if I got drafted into the armed forces I would be medic and not a Grunt. My last clinical was with an Anesthitist and I knew I wanted to do anesthesia. I enrolled a year later in nursing and two years later became an RN. First job was Ramsey Burn Unit, and I liked it so much that I forgot about anesthsia. At Ramsey I married and soon had a baby boy. My then wife's familly wanted us to run a restuarant in Wisc. There we could'nt do anything right and they kicked us out after 8 months. It was hard work but I enjoyed it, and felt very bad when we left. Later they begged for us to come back but by that time we lived in Rochester Mn. My wife was in nursing school and I worked Respiratory Intensive Care. Two years later she was an RN and was burned out with ICU. Enrolled in The Minneapolis School af Anesthesia. During school my wife left and I had 2 kids to take care of. Thank God for wellfare becaus...Expand for more
e without it I could have never made it and I have paid lot of taxes since then. We started to reconcil and I decided we needed to move 500 miles away to Danvill IL. Then worked at Carle Clinic in Urbana IL. Here is when the marrage broke up, and I had three boys to take care of. It was alot more peacefull after that. Some years later I met the most wonderful woman who is intelligent and beautifull and talented. We married and I have lived happily ever since. It is so nice to be able to solve problems and get on with your life. We worked alot of level one truama and wanted to quit. We bought My wifes family farm near St Paul IN. We decided that if a job ever happened near there we would take the job. As luck would have it a job came up 12 miles from the farm, so we took it. We are working less and enjoying it more. We are semi retired but we will probably never really quit because we like our work. I wasn't always at my best and if I hurt anyone please forgive me esp.MC
