Tim's Story

Tim's schools include St. Gregory the Great, in Bellerose, Bishop Reilly High School, in Fresh Meadows and Baruch College on 23rd Street in Manhattan. Tim later attended Queens College, City University of New York (BA: American History, Philosophy, Literature) , The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MSLS: Library and Information Science) . He has worked in Finance in New York City, as the Business Reference Librarian for the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, spent 18 years with Nortel Networks, starting as a technical librarian and rising to be the global vice president of Organization Development, which included all training and knowledge management networks, worked briefly as a CEO for a training company, then as a consultant for the Town of Chapel Hill and also for his alma mater, UNC. He is now reflecting and writing about what he has learned. He is a Humanist, a Progressive, and above all, a successful husband (51 Years), father and grandfath...Expand for more
er. He values family above all else and has faith in James Taylor: "The Secret of Life is Enjoying the Passage of Time. Any fool can do it/there ain't nothing to it!" He has published three books: No Fear: Tales of a Change Agent, or, Why I Couldn't Fix Nortel Networks, a business memoir; Schneid's : A novel: a coming of age story set in Vietnam Era sixties in Bellerose, Queens; and, The Bellerose Bar, A Novel about a mid-life crisis.. No Fear was favorably reviewed by the Toronto Globe and Mail (Nortel had been the largest company in Canada.) All books are available at Amazon, ibooks and barnesandnoble online. Dempsey He now lives in Charleston, S.C. but travels to New York City several times a year to visit friends and family, feed his Mets and Broadway addictions, and enjoy the best dining in the world.
