Tim's Story
Ahh the journey that is my own.
After high school I was off to Edgecliff College to find the techie in my heart. Did learn how to enjoy class with out the learning part. So off to work I went!
Worked for Mark Isle's father for a while, then to Lynch Foods as a route driver ( See, if you pay particular attention, trucking is a recurring theme). So back to college I went. Thought I would find my voice on the nations air waves..... But as the story goes, I have a voice for the silent movies.
Back to work, right! Here is where I made a career path choice! Went to work for the Sisters of Mercy (As a control clerk, NOT A NUN! You sick freaks). They were decentralizing the data center! Boo! It was a fun leave me alone job. In transition, they were centralizing the records management resources of the Mercy Hospital.
I was the first hired. I became the lead truck driver. But I did learn about the microfilm - document management business.
At this time I met this interesting person. She was dating a Milfordite.... Didn't she learn!?!?
So we got married in September of 1985. Prior to getting married we bought a fixer upper in Silverton. Moved in after the wedding (Sweet of us wasn't it!)
We sold the house in 1988. Moved in with Grandma for 3 months while we were looking for a new house. If you don't know my Grandma, you...Expand for more
should. She is still one of the coolest people on the block! She will be 99 this December (It scares people to think that I may live that long!
We found a house that fit what we were looking for in Madeira. Cool old 1928 dutch colonial.
All back to the work thing. I left Mercy Shared services for Goodwill Industries ( YEA! The clothes reselling people) Except I ran the Microfilming Department. Got out of there in ten months; October 1988.
Started Accurate Microfilming Nov of 1988 and succesfully ran that into the ground in 1997.
Sold and merge the three different business units. One even exist still today.
Went to work for the competition. Well that is a beginning and the end.
Joined Cintas in 1998 and left there when my sister Susan died of a stroke ( can't spell anurysm)
Started a new company buying and selling used microfilm and document scanning equipment. Trucked across the country wheelin and dealin! Great fun till the business crashed. So I went back to work in the courier business, then as a route sales person for Pepsi. And here I am now! Working and driving the big truck for Xpedx, div of Int'l Paper
I have two of the coolest kids. Alex, born in 1990 and Kelsey in 1995. My wife Linda, still with me after almost 23 years..... So glad she is still here!
SO, HOW ARE YOU DOING! ME, I'm ALRIGHT!
