Tim's Story
Life
Attended Minnie Gant, Stanford Jr High and Millikan High until 1963. That year, despite my protests, my parents moved the family to Tucson AZ for my senior year. I left behind the love of my life, a beautiful woman and soulmate named Carol Chambers, from Torrance High School. Carol and I wrote and remained true to each other for almost a year, then sadly, drifted apart. Sadly, it was I who lost faith that our prayer to God that we would somday marry would ever be fulfilled.
I graduated Flowing Wells High School in 1964. Attended Bob Jones University (1965) Arizona Bible College (1966-69), graduated Long Beach City College (1971); graduated University of Arizona (1973); two years of graduate work at U of A in marketing; communications.
Worked at PBS affiliate KUAT as radio announcer (classical), radio producer, television writer, and television producer from 1976-1986. Won Ohio State Award for TV documentary on Geronimo. Wrote and co-produced documentaries on Pancho Villa, other historical and ecological issues. Wrote a book on real estate auctions in 1989. Became head writer at large ad agency in Las Vegas. Became director of marketing for two Indian casinos from 1992-1999. Became managing editor for marketing publications for casinos, public utilities ...Expand for more
and vocational schools. Won two MAGGIES for best trade publications.
Today, I am a publisher and co-owner of a publishing company called TARGETED MARKETING SOLUTIONS LLC, in which capacity I am EDITOR of AMERICA WEST magazine (America West Airlines), plus publisher/editor of magazines for a national trade school, regional utility and publisher/producer of special interest publications and videos on history, culture and archeology.
For years, I have been seeking contact with my long lost love, Carol. But she seemed to have completely vanished from the earth. At one point, an old Social Security record seemed to suggest she had died. I was devastated.
Then, last year, a last-chance search on the Internet put me in contact with Carol's classmates from Torrance High. They were good enough to put me in contact with Carol. Her name--first and last--had been changed, and she was now living in Texas.
We corresponded, and immediately discovered a bond that transcended 43 years of separate lives and spouses, was still strong. We finally met face to face, and discovered an ancient love alive and new. We will be married this year. A prayer, faith and love long thought lost has been fulfilled at last.
Would love to here from former classmates and friends . . .
