Life Married for 48 years to a great St. Louis girl. Have 3 kids. Bo is an elementary principal in St. Louis with an Ed D in Ed. Admin. Allison and her husband own Skyhawks, Minnesota, in Minneapolis. The youngest is Catie, who is a Master Reading Interventionist in Kirkwood, MO. We have 8 grandchildren and are proud of all of them, and we plan on spoiling them rotten! I have retired four times and just seem to not get it right. Life is good in the Ricker Family. Hope it is too for you! After leaving Portage I finished my BSE in Elementary Education at Truman State University (1976) in Missouri. I started teaching in the Kansas City area then (1st grade, no less) and began my MA degree in Elementary Administration (graduated in '81). Worked in some rural districts in Missouri as a principal and then moved to St. Louis in 1986. Received my Education Specialist degree in '87 and Doctorate from SIU in '97. Stayed in St. Louis as a suburban large school district superintendent or central office superintendent for 20 years. I taught graduate classes in my spare time at SIU-E and Lindenwood University for almost ten years. With a doctorate in Instructional Process, I taught all of the methods and administration classes.
