Tim's Story
Hello folks,
A very led a very simple life since graduating from Goshen High School. I was going to join the Marine Corps but an accident during my junior year put that on hold for several years. However, in 1983, I did join the Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California. During my first four years at Camp Pendleton, I was lucky to have visited many countries in the Southeast Asia region. I reenlisted to serve another six years and chose a little island in the Indian for a duty station. Diego Garcia was an awesome duty and an adventure that I would like to enjoy again. Serve during the Gulf War and was injured and retired from active duty.
Along the way I was married/divorced and remarried. My former wife and I had one son. My oldest son joined the Marine Corps ...Expand for more
and spent two tours in Afghanistan before getting out of the Marine Corps. My wife Michelle and I have one son and a daughter. My youngest son is a busy guy with baseball, football, and karate during the year. Plus my adoptive daughter does dance.
After leaving the Marine Corps I set my sights on a totally different career. I became a special education teacher. My first degree was in history, economics, world history and Driver Ed Instructor. Then I had a brain lapse and want back for degree in elementary education. Wow! It is certainly different little ones visa middle school! I ended-up in the special education field and really like these characters. These students are funny, and smart in many ways. This is my twelfth year and plan to stay at teaching until Iâm 63 years old.
