Timothy's Story

Life After graduating from Eau Claire North High School in 1979, I decided to join the United States Air Force. I started out as a Security Police Officer, but soon decided that that was not a good fit. I cross-trained into the aircraft mechanics field and became a Crew Chief on a KC-135A Tanker. I held this position for 9 years at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. I then transferred to Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and from there Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. While at Grand Forks, I met my wife in a chat room online. We chatted for hours before we finally met face to face and that is why I feel that we have such a strong relationship now. I retired on November 1st, 1999 and returned to Eau Claire. Tashai and I got married just after she graduated from the UW Stout with her Masters Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. I worked at Western Dairyland Community Action Agency in Eau Claire as thier Business Technology Instructor, as well as the assistant on the Wisconsin Common Market project. I was also the co-host to the TV show “Computers Don’t Byte” shown on Eau Claire Public Access TV channel 11. We show people how to install parts, troubleshoot minor problems, load and configure software, use their software and computers, and last but not least… let the people know that computers really don’t bite you. We have a lot of fun while at the same time give the people a lot of good information. In January, 2005, my position was lost due to funding at Western Dairyland. I chose that time as the right time to start my partnership with Troy Gierke, and together we created TnT Computer Services, LLC. We are a mobile computer service that comes to you so you don't have to take the time and hassel to bring your computer into one of the big stores to have it fixed. We offer in home and on site troubleshootin...Expand for more
g and repair of computers. We also offer training on computers and thier software. Part of our appeal to the business world is that we have teamed up with Chippewa Valley Office Solutions (CVOS) where we set up the networked Sharp Products. We have finally moved into our new home and hopefully this year will be able to get our lawn started. We have 1 1/2 acres with a 4 bedroom home. We are still planning for children. We are far enough away from the city to make it impractical for the ever constant ''Well we were just in the neighborhood and thought we would stop by'' but close enough so that if needed we are able to get home. WOW, May 16, 2009. How things have changed. I worked at Oakleaf Sufical hospital for 3 years part time as a housekeeper. I cleaned the OR rooms between surgeries. I had a good time with the folks there. Met a lot of good people. Starting June 1st I will be again working for CVOS as one of their technicians and network specialist. I am looking forward to the new position and working with Jeff and Dave again. Tashai and I are still without our own child, but we have had the honor of raising her niece and nephew over the past year. Putting them through school up here in Chippewa Falls. Long story not worthy of this segmant, but the kids are doing great. They are looking forward to next year where they will both be in the same school. D will be starting Violin lessons and K will be in her second year of orchestra. Coming from FL, the winters seem to baffle them, but by next year maybe I will be successful in getting them outside more. MArch 2011. Time is flying by and we have now been granted Permanent Guardianship of Kyla and D'Angelo until they are 18. Kyla is going strong but D'Angelo is strugglling with schoolwork and people skills. We are working with him on these issues and hopefully he will straighten up.
