Timothy's Story

The Last Ten Years have been an adventure in Texas. We moved our family to get out of the Wisconsin winters.. My wife Janet and I decided to do what we really wanted to do- not work for some one else. Jan is a family physician practicing Integrative Medicine. She is helping people stay well by combining alternative therapies with conventional medicine. We live the Hill Country of Texas and found the situation right to be in property and land. I have built, bought and been managing rental properties. I have had the opportunity to take a scrub piece of land, clear the brush, fence it and add sheep-- turn it into a functioning small ranch. cowboy hat and drive a truck sometimes. I like to stay home and if I have time cook a good meal for my family. Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers is my favorite recent book. I enjoy gardening and planting trees. Don't travel much any more because an old injury is slowing me down. I was paralyzed with a compression spinal cord injury in 1982 but was able to walk again. I've lived in TX, CA, MI, TN, WI, have had the chance to see Asia... I've been married, divorced and remarried. Have a chance to try to do it right a with a second batch of kids. I've had the opportunities to remake myself more than a few times, am thankful for the second chances in my life.
