Timothy's Story

Life: I was in the Washington, DC area for the past 13 years, as I left my position with the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL) in January 2002. The team made it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1998, but lost to the Detroit Red Wings. UPDATE (2015): Divorced in November 2013, working for myself in the insurance industry as an independent agent, building up a clientele list in Final Expense Life, as well as Dental/Vision for Seniors and Self-Employed, and also getting back into the Medicare Advantage/Supplemental industry with a new group that I will get tons of backing from, unlike before. Has some serious potential to live off of residual income for life once I continue to grow my business from home! No more suit & ties---EVER if I get my way. New lease on life after a TON of drama and BS! Before the Washington Sports & Entertainment Group ownership split in the Summer of 1999, I also was involved with the Washington Wizards of the NBA and the Mystics of the WNBA, along with the Capitals of the NHL. We are located around MCI Center in downtown Washington, DC, whereas I live in suburban Maryland. I was the Director of Ticket Sales in 1994 for the Houston Rockets when they won the NBA Finals vs. New York Knicks. Got a Championship Ring from them before coming to Washington, where I was a Senior Sales Manager for the Capitals & Wizards. Spent time in Detroit, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, and Houston once before, working for various sports teams, since leaving WVU. Move...Expand for more
d back to Detroit in 2007 to work for the Detroit Pistons/Palace of Auburn Hills, but that was a disaster after just a year when the MI economy collapsed. Ex-Wife is a PHS 86 Grad and we have a 23-year old daughter (Ellie), and a 14-year old son (Zachary). I now rarely come back to Parkersburg now that I have no family living there as my dad passed away in May 2014. Staying in "Big, Bad, Rough, Tough, Meanest City in America" Detroit for now, but may eventually move. Love it up here in the Summers---SUCKS in the Winters---plenty of older population for business purposes and my kids have grown up here. Write me.... Munch School I graduated from WVU in 1988, with a Degree in Sports Management. I then went on to attend Graduate school, also at WVU. I left in 1990 just 6 Credit hours short of my Master's Degree, but I was burned out, needed something different, and I also had a job offer from the Houston Oilers at that time anyway, in May 1990. So, in retrospect, it was an easy decision. College See School Bio for details! Workplace I have been with the Pittsburgh Penguins as an intern in 1988, Phoenix Suns as a Grad School intern in 1989, Part-Time (w/full-time hours) in 1990, with the Houston Oilers. Detroit Tigers in 1991-1992. Took a year off in 1993. Worked for the Houston Rockets in 1993-94, then moved to Washington, DC area in January 1995 to work for the Washington Capitals & Bullets (now Wizards). UPDATE---Work for myself as an Independent Licensed Insurance Agent---no bosses, no BS!
