Timothy's Story
Life
Was living with and about to marry Cheryle Howe RHS class of '65 in early seventies had we had a son Chris ('71) that I never got to know.. Unknown at the time she suffered from severe PPD. Caught her cheating on me with my best friend. (Guess I was working to hard and didn't see the signs.)
That relationship with her ended and after years of mental problems multiple, attempted suicides two marriages and numerous relationships she passed away alone, unemployed; and broke in '94 of a drug and alcohol overdose.
Sad end to a really beautiful, intelligent, fun loving woman who had so much to offer as a m,om and a crack Nurse but never lived up to her potential due to mental problems (mainly trust issues) exacerbated by alcohol and pills.
Reunited with my son Chris in 2004. With help from his grandmother. Were good now.
After being single "player" ( not real proud of that) for a few years finally got a second chance at happiness.
Married my wife Pam, who I met while in Hawaii in the mid seventies. Had three children.
She was originally from Calif., have been married now for 39 years. (update 46 yrs as of 2023)
Our son Andrew graduated 2001 in Computer Science at Brock.
Works as a senior software designer at General Dynamics.
He was married in 2011 and I had a grandson in 2013 and a granddaughter in 2015
Our Eldest daughter "Victoria" graduated Queen's Law in '06.
After having her own practice as a criminal defense lawyer in Toronto for a few years, she became a federal crown prosecutor in Toronto. Still single
Our youngest daughter Kim graduating university in '08
Worked with Indian youth for "First Nation Bands" on west Vancouver Island.
Went back to school and now has her Masters's degree from U Vic.
Now works for province of British Columbia working with at risk children
She has ...Expand for more
a boyfriend and they have a 11 year old son. (Update married in 2018)
Have two new Cavachon puppies in Nov.'05 both still alive and well.
(Update both Spike and Willow passed away at age 13 in 2018).
Previous dog Lily died June '05. age 14
Ran Pineland Pavillion (Sat. Nite Dances from 1966-71)
Operated "Pineland Go-karts" on Riverside drive for 12 years
Built "Thunderbird Go-karts" on Conroy Rd. in 1981
Operated there for 31 years sold it for redevelopment in fall of 2011.
Retired in '11 then went off to Florida for the winter.
Now what to do??? I'm bored.... retirement is not what it was cracked up to be...at least not for me.
Sold our house on the Hunt Club golf course in 2013 and downsized.
Moved to Kanata North.
Now travel a lot. (update 2021, really going nuts now, can't travel and just so much golf you can play)
However still happy to be 76 and pretty healthy so life is good as it gets at this age..
School
Teachers that most inspired me were definitely Mr. Winter (science) and especially
Ms. Solovew (English) without whose help I would never have passed 13 English Lit.
Most hated teacher had to be Mr. Sirrs ( grade 11 physics) who made my life hell. Heard he passed away
Sorry to hear, but he was a real pain in my ass and I never missed him.
Biggest crush in HS had to be "Patricia Ann Bridger" who was in my class in grades 9-11 but like Charlie Brown and the little "Red Headed Girl", was to shy to let her know. Her parents moved after grade 11 and sadly never knew what happened to her. Recently, later heard she was married to a dentist in B.C. in the '70's. Current whereabouts unknown.
Never had a lot of good memories in high school as I was very shy and awkward around girls I was very immature for my age and more of a nerd than anything else.
