Timothy's Story

After high school, I joined the United States Air Force. The Air Force took me around the world. I had a great career and retired from the Air Force in 1994 as a Master Sergeant. In 1975, I met my wife, Sheila, while attending Miami-Dade Community College near Homestead, Florida. Nine years later while living in Oahu, Hawaii, Sheila and I were married. Two years later my first son was born and shortly thereafter we moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa. My youngest son was born in Omaha, Nebraska, a few miles west of Council Bluffs. After six years, we relocated to Scott Air Force Base, Illinois, east of St. Louis, Missouri, my last Air Force assignment. In 1995, I became a Project Comptroller for Anderson Consulting (now Accenture) in St. Louis, Missouri. After three years, I left Anderson to become a professional with the Boy Scouts of America in the Trails West Council in Southern Illinois. I started as a District Executive and rose to Field Director and acting Scout Executive for the council. In 2005 my wife was transferred to Washington D.C. I left the Boy Scouts and moved to Virginia. In Virginia I received...Expand for more
my insurance licenses but settled in as a High School Special Education (Behavior Disorder) teacher at Spotsylvania High School. I left teaching to work for Northrop Grumman as a Consultant to the United States Air Force Civil Engineer a the Pentagon. There I developed Air Force energy policy and the privatization of Air Force utilities. In 2010 I accepted a position as a consultant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Energy and changed companies to Concurrent Technoloies Corporate. I reside in Stafford, Virginia, and work at the Pentagon. I am now with the Department of Defense. I received my bachelor's degree from Buena Vista University in Entrepreneurism and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. I am ABD from a doctorate in management. Success is only measured by the hearts you touch. I continue to live a fantastic life but only because of the people I have met and continue to meet along the way. I've been blessed with the opportunity to be a student of the world and allowed to share with the homeless, the hurting, the hungry, and those who have lost their spirit.
