Timothy 's Story
Timothy Leon Dortch , the fourth child born to the late Charles and Beatrice Dortch, is a 1987 graduate of Goldsboro High School.
He attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University for one year immediately after graduating from high school. He returned to Goldsboro, where he attended Wayne Community College for two years.
Tim preached his initial sermon in May of 1989 and was licensed a minister by the First African Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Isaac B. Horton, II. He was ordained in 1990 by the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association.

Tim has been serving as pastor of Eastern Chapel Missionary Baptist Church since November, 1990.
Tim is a 2008 graduate of Mount Olive College, Mount Olive, NC with a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion, and 2011 honors (Cum Laude) graduate of Capella University, Minneappolis, MN with a Master of Science degree in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling Studies.
Most importantly, he is a born again, Spirit-filled believer who loves the Lord and enjoys preaching and teaching the Word of God to all who will receive.
