Timothy's Story

Life After high school I floated for a while and finally at age 24 entered into the Ironworkers apprenticeship. I enjoyed working on power plants such as Joseph City, St. John and Palo Verde. I eventually migrated to California where I worked on high rise buildings. I love the heights and the danger of the job. I worked on retrofits on the Golden Gate and San Mateo bridges until I became disabled in 1984. I then began working with different causes such as Green Peace's ship the Rainbow Warrior. I founded 2 charities, Whale Steel(Green Peace) and Seal Steel which did projects for California Marine Mammal Rescue Center. I moved to Mexico for 7 years and worked there as a volunteer in the Nayarit Tourism Office and in the prisons looking in on Americans. I moved to Minnesota where I did adult and children programs for the library. I was president of the Alliance for the Mentally Ill in central Minnesota and worked in mental institutions, halfway houses, jails and support groups. I worked also in Al-Anon and Al-Ateen. I also worked in the performing arts and was involved in all aspects of theater. I published a book of free verse in 1996 and failed to promote it because I had lost interest in it. Having worked on it so long I was very tired of me and the book itself was a bit too academic. I am featured on other websites but there are two I am especially proud of due to the fact they represent a new direction for me. exploring the boundaries of physics. How...Expand for more
ever due to restrictions concerning Bios I am not allowed to give links...so be it. I have an honorary degree in physics which needs no explanation. I have since left Minnesota and have moved back to California where I sometimes wander over the Coronado Bridge and memories when i worked on it. Here I am a volunteer at 2 hospitals. In one I work in the TLC of the auxiliary seeing to patients needs in different ways. The other I am a chaplain's assistant and may be going thru chaplains training soon. I am not sure on that step.....we will see. I stopped by here out of curiosity and hope you all are as happy as I am. Currently I am single, very busy and spend most of my spare time conversing with friends in science and poetry across the world thru the computer. Wow...who would have thought??? My main interests besides living in search engines are my cats and my birds and my walks along the beach, river, and Balboa Park. Yes I love to cook and bake and no I am not gay....seven grand children fill my life... but mostly just during the summer. I am currently a 3 month member and wondering why I am here. Anyone know of a good discussion group please direct me. I belong to several forums ranging from poetry to the Theory of Everything where a lot of brilliant people in the hard sciences labor mistakenly in metaphysics....altho I consider it pataphysics. Anyhow, i am trying to get a reunion with St. Agnes School class of 1962....so let's go from there.... .
