Tina's Story
Hi All,
Well I live in VA with my husband of 16 years and 2 children. Doug is in the Navy working on 18 years. He'll be going back over seas in Sept. They waited until he was 42 before making him do the marine stuff. Poor guy! He's in charge of young pups and has to keep up with them on 5 mile runs with all his gear. Good Lord, glad it's not me.
My son is 13 and very gifted. He is taking 4 high school credit classes already. He's on pace to graduate high school at 17 1/2 and with a 2 year associates degree.
Kristina well that's a whole nother thing! She is 8 going on 30. She is in the gifted school. She was one of the top 3 picked out of approx. 50,000. WOW! She just made 2 allstar cheerleading teams. And she's cute and popular already to boot. Doug says he's going to build a mote and not let her out until she's 30.
Well for me, I'm still kicken even though doctors thought I wouldn't make until now or I'd be in a wheel chair. Too bad doc.! Well I went to college and played college volleyball, got married to a navy man (from Edina, oh my gosh:O)and had...Expand for more
2 kids. When I had my son it was very difficult and nobody knew why. Well in Jan of 97 I woke up and couldn't move. I was later diagnosed with SEL (lupus). It's an auto immune disease where my body doesn't recognize myself. Now it has cuased me to have a total of 26 life threating diseases. But I'm working and enjoying my life. I have my grandmother and mother in-law to thank for learning inner strength determination. They both battled cancer for more than 13 years and were my best friends. Yes my mother in-law was my best friend. We talked everyday and I was who she chose to be with at the end. And I miss her so much. marrying into this family was the best that ever happened to me. I do still struggle every day to get up , work and be with my family. but I wouldn't trade any of it for the life I have now.
I had been in the top 150 in north america for tupperware, but i had a relapse and had to step back for a while. Now I'm ready and can't wait to be at the top again.
