Christina's Story
After high school I moved to Vermont to run a polo stable, and eventually wandered out west to be a cowgirl. Landed in Arizona where I spent years working as a wrangler and horse trainer during the day while driving a stagecoach at a western-themed tourist trap at night.
Eventually I began to see the benefits of working smarter rather than working harder, especially after having my knee shattered by a bronc. I learned film and television production from the bottom up, starting as a production assistant and ending up as a writing consultant.
For the past 15 years I've worked full-time for a consulting firm while doing the single mom thing. I have 3 boys, all grown up and ...Expand for more
considerably larger than me.
About 3 years ago I started studying law on the side, because I've always found it interesting. I've nearly completed a judicial college program that qualifies me to sit as a judge pro tem for the county court system. I frequently write articles and research reports on consumer credit law and binding mandatory arbitration agreements for consumer law publications. I also volunteer several hours every week as a consumer advocate.
I can't run anymore because of the knee, but I hike 5-7 miles every day with my dog. I'm still mostly an "outdoorsy" type. I'd rather be sitting on a horse than sitting at a computer any day, but I keep it balanced :)
