Tina's Story
Kind of weird to see pictures of yourself and "your story" posted for you off of fb info! I'm going to switch it to the 1st person now so it doesn't sound so odd:
I was a bit nomadic for many years. I ended up in the pacific NW and eventually lived in Canada (mostly British Columbia). I finished my undergrad there with a degree in Criminology, then returned to the states. I have three great kids and when the youngest was in his 2nd yr of college, I decided to go back for my MA in clinical counseling because it was something I always wanted to do. I'm glad I did (now that's it's over!). I have been stuck in PA for 22 years now after being bounced from coast to coast for a few years due to my husband's job. I find the East Coast is a different culture and dislike the humidity! Also, Philadelphia can't begin to hold a candle to SF:)
So far I have three beautiful grandkids who live in Indonesia, so I only see them every couple of years.
Hope to move further west again someday. I feel better now that I wrote my own words, and posted a photo of my choosing (off cours...Expand for more
e the best shot I have:} ). I will leave the quotes they took off fb posted here b/c they express my usual state, and current thoughts.
My yearbooks were ruined in a flood years ago so it will be nice to refresh my memory and actually view the yearbook.
Some of Tina's favorite quotes:
"I'm so far behind, I think I'm first!" -random refrigerator magnet
""I know not the way He leads me, but well I know my guide." Martin Luther
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it." Dr. Adrian Rodgers
