Tina's Story
Professionally: Went to work straight out of school as a contractor for General Dynamics/Electric Boat. Spent twelve years at PSNS working in one form of administration or another until the federal government finally hired me as an Admin Officer 5 years ago. Shortly thereafter, took a position at Bangor as a Specialist in Military Protocol and was just recently promoted to Executive Assistant to the Navy's Northwest Regional Commander and Chief-of-Staff. Got where I need to be for retirement, life is good!
Personally: Met a wonderful man from Michigan - a sailor, stationed aboard the USS ALABAMA. Convinced him he needed to stay here and couldn't live without me. We have two beautiful children - daughter Ashleigh, 2...Expand for more
0 and son Branden, 14. Ashleigh's a dreamer and prone to flights of fantasy, sort of a head-in-the-clouds kind of girl who is still figuring life out. I'm still trying to figure her out, but she's a bright girl with a beautiful heart, so I feel like I did pretty good there. The rest will come with time. Branden is an over-achieving, gifted academic. Very ambitious, working on his Eagle Scout project, skipped 8th grade this year (Mom was not ready for high school yet, yikes!!) and is actively pursuing getting his college scholorships applied for already. He's decided he either wants to be a neurosurgeon or an orthodontist (the last option being a result of him seeing all the cool toys his orthodontist has, I'm sure).
