I'm not really sure how this works, but I thought it might be interesting to catch up with old friends from Illinois, if they're still around the area. I moved out to California for College and never returned. I love it here and got the rest of my family to move out here as well. I only have a brother left in Hinsdale, Ivan Valcarenghi, who practices Dentistry with his wife Kathy. I'm a Speech Pathologist and started my own Rehabilitation business in 1983, incorporated in 1985. I have about 100 employees, mostly Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists. We service the geriatric popluation and when I was actually practicing, it was very rewarding. I soon learned that I was better at procuring contracts then just treating patients. Life has been very good to me. I have a 14 year old daughter. She is my joy and my biggest challenge. She's very much like her mother: spirited and headstrong. I don't know what else to say other than I have been blessed with the most wonderful family and my parents are still living in Northern California near my brothers who are both physicians in the Chico area.
