ToLaya's Story
After graduating ETHS in 2004, I went on to college at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. Yes, it is a party school, but what school is not? :-) I studied Psychology and was very fond of creative writing classes.
As I cheered in high school, I went on to dance with dance teams at school, and danced over the summer with a south side dance team in the Bud Billiken parade. Later in my college career I modeled with a college model/dance team. I had a lot of fun in college and learned a lot of responsibility as well.

as my first job in the real world. It has been some adjustment. I moved out on my own, because I'd gotten too used to independence to stay at my parent's house and I've been staying afloat and happy!
I ended up finding a job in the field I went to school for as well as getting admitted into a master's program at a local university. I miss my old school, it was live! LoL! However, I've been learning a lot at my new school and I actually like school for the CLASSES and not the fun! I'm studying clinical mental health counseling; I'd like to be a therapist eventually.
I'm just living life, enjoying my 20's, learning myself and continuing to grow.
