Toby's Story
Well, I made it out of Holy Cross without too much damage (to me or the school). After kicking around for a few years, taking courses at SAC and working full-time, I finally landed a job with the City of Austin Fire Dept (1978-1990), where I was a Fire Specialist for the HazMat Team, and a founding member of the Dive Rescue/Recovery Team.
1990 found me in Northern California, in a town called Palo Alto, married to a woman who didn't want to live in Austin (should've seen the signs, then). We split in 2006 (no kids).
Now, I'm on my own in Mountain View, next door to P.A.
In 1999, in the middle of another career change, I was selected for an Internship thru a local junior college,...Expand for more
at NASA (didn't know they were out there, didya?). Still there now (contract employee), and enjoying the work.
Briefly, I involved myself with a cult, er, I mean, a volunteer organization called One Brick. One Brick provides volunteers to other non-profits and community orgs who may not have the resources or staff for events or tasks that need completion. The organization has grown from a home base in San Francisco (don't call it Frisco, unless you want to upset the locals who live there - something I enjoy doing).
There's other stuff you might want to know about me, but use that as a way for us to start communicating, or invent your own story about me, and post it on Facebook.
