Tod Sappington:

CLASS OF 1972
League city, TX

Tod's Story

Life Hello Class of '72... Life is Good. Three Great Grandkids. Three Super (Grown) kids. Two finished with college (years ago) and one finishing up at U of H Clear Lake. She's lagging a bit...got married right after Highschool, had two of my Grandkids and has been going part-time the past 5 years...too much like her Dad. I tried the marriage thing twice...and decided to hang those shoes up in 1985...BEST 20 YEARS OF MY LIFE. Other than not being there everyday for my kids, it has been great to see life without the every day stresses, emotions, arguments that usually go along with worn out relationships. I love being a Grandparent and worship all 3 Grandkids. (Ages 3(Kinsey)...3(Austin)...and 6 (Bailey)). I presently own a Town House in Kingwood and love it here. Golf is my sport and an 18 hole Golf Course is my neighbor. Love to play the stock market and spend at least an hour a day on the computer. Knock on my door and you'll hear my roommate "Rocky", all 20 lbs. of him. Thinks he matches his name...took him in when my Mom passed away 5 years ago. Great Job...home half the week and in the market the other half. Had time this morning to go to my 6 year old Granddaughter's Kindergarten Graduation. These ...Expand for more
are the things my job allows me time to do....would not trade for anything. Workplace High School Job - Weingarten's in Nassau Bay...helped pay for quite a few cases of Schlitz at our parties and meeting holes...not forgetting the many keg parties we threw on West Beach (of course we charged $3 per person for all you could drink). Can you believe the Galveston cops would come by and say as long as there were no problems, have your party and have fun....how things change. Weingarten's supported me while I was married with child (Marleis) and going to college until 1976. Coors was coming down to the Houston area for the first time and I had connections. I used to take the groceries out to the car of the Man's wife who eventually won the Galveston Coors franchise...She made him hire me. Probably had him by the earlobe...kidding...sorta. Stayed in the beer business for 18 years eventually moving over to Budweiser. Ended as Sales Manager of Brazoria County the last 8 years. Worked with a lot of Great people which developed into lifetime friendships. I have been at my present job for 7 years and hope to retire with this company. Love my job and the free time it affords me for my Grandchildren, Golf, etc.......
