Got out of Rio, joined the army. Went to Germany. If u knew me then, you knew what at party animal I was. I battled drugs and alcohol for 17 years. I've been sober for 20 years. I had various jobs ranging from working for Blue Diamond downtown as a forklift driver to working for the state as an office assistant. I BS'd my way into entry - mid level computer work and worked my way up into becoming an Oracle and Informix database administrator (DBA.) I had a 13 year career in this field advancing to senior/lead level. I made tons of money and I lived in the Santa Cruz mountains near Santa Cruz/Capitola - one of my favorite places on earth and where I'd always wanted to live. The bottom fell out of the whole 'dot-bomb' fiasco in the Silly Valley and I lost my ass. I partnered with a guy in an automotive repair garage in Ben Lomond and it failed. I threw newspapers for 3 years 364 days a year - no breaks...couldn't find work, got behind in Oracle's versions so I'm unhirable. I was t-boned by an F-250 while riding my motorcycle and my leg was crushed/deformed and my spine fused. I limp when I walk b/c the right leg is 1" shorter than the left. That and other health issues from diabetes and the way I abused myself with D&A have caused me to begin collecting disability bene...Expand for more
