Todd's Story
Life
I have been happily married since July 2008. My life pretty much revolves around my wife and my job which is the US Navy. Being in the military makes it pretty hard to have a normal life but we do the best we can. I have met a lot of great people, some I wish I would have done a better job at staying in touch with. I travel to PA on a regular basis so that I can visit with my family which I didn't get to do at all while I was stationed in CA for 12 years. I like to get out and stay active as there are numerous activities I like to do to occupy my time.
Military
I enlisted in the US Navy in 1988. Went to Boot Camp in Great Lakes, IL. I went through Basic Electronics and Electricy followed by Gunner's Mate School followed by ASROC Missile Launcher School, all which were in Great Lakes. I went to my first ship in 1989, USS Robison DDG-12 where I progressed to E-4. I served in the Gulf onboard during the first War. Transfered to the USS Halsey, CG...Expand for more
-23, got promoted to E-5 and again caught the tail end of the Gulf War onboard. Transfered to Shore Duty at the Naval Amphibious Base Base, Coronado where I worked as Military Police. I converted to the Master-At-Arms(Military Police) rating and transfered to the USS Tarawa where I was promoted to E-6. I served onboard for 5 years. I transfered to Newport RI and was promoted to E-7, Chief Petty Officer. While in RI I had back surgery and after a successful surgery I went to Norfolk, VA in a limited duty status until my back healed and then I transfered to the USS George Washington for three years. From 2006-2009 I was stationed in Annapolis, MD. I am currently serving in the Middle East. I have visited Hawaii, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Phillipines, Guam, Diego Garcia, Australia, Bahrain, Abu Dabi, Dubai, Jebel Ali, Qatar, Eriteria, Guatamala, Crete, Italy, St Maarten Antigua and I am sure there are a few that I accidentally left off.
